Please read before paying the booking fee! Paying the booking fee means you accept that you are entering into a contract and you agree to the conditions stated below.
It is the responsibility of the named person on the booking (normally the Bride) to understand, agree, and accept responsibility for all booking conditions. This includes all payments due by specified dates.
1. BOOKING AND PAYMENTS
A non-refundable booking fee of £60.00 is required to secure your date and booking. Without the booking fee the date will not be secured. To avoid disappointment, please book and pay your booking fee as early as possible. The booking fee paid is deducted from the ﬁnal balance. The booking fee goes towards my time with the booking process, consultation fees, securing your date, admin and general business expenses used in the booking process.
All payments need to be made via BACS transfer.
Trial payments need to be made 48 hours before the date of the trial.
The remaining balance is due no less than 1 month (28 calendar days) before the wedding/event day.
All correspondence will be paperless, via email, unless otherwise requested.
Any last-minute services on the day will be subject to time and will require payment up front on the day.
If another stylist is needed additional charges may apply.
Trial payments are separate. The payment for the trial is due no less than 48 hours before the trial date. If you cancel your trial with less than 48 hours’ notice no refund will be given.
Trials take place at your choice of location and are offered Monday to Friday mornings, Saturday afternoons (wedding dependant) or Sunday mornings. I will however try to fit trials in to suit the client. For a make-up trial it is best to be carried out in the daytime for light purposes.
Trials for hair or makeup as one service are up to 2 hours. Trials for hair and make-up are up to 3 hours. Further time for more can be added and pre booked at £35 per hour.
Most of my brides are happy to book me without first having their trial. This is because I get booked up well in advance and they want to secure their date with me.
If, however, you would like a trial before securing the date and paying the booking fee, that of course is no problem at all. I do request that 2 trials are held in these circumstances. The reason for 2 trials is that the first trial would need to be as soon as possible after your enquiry, so I can secure your date for you. I do not normally do trials until 2-4 months before the wedding date, so this is where I would need to do another trial. This is due to seasons/light changing, different lengths of hair and colour, or a change of the desired style. The first trial will need to be paid for in advance like above. If for any reason you do not wish to proceed with booking me, then it would only of cost you the trial fee which would not be refundable. I do work on a ‘first that wants to book, first served basis’. Please bare this in mind. I am always on the end of the phone if I can ease any hair or make up concerns you may have, so please do not hesitate to schedule a chat with me.
I, Marybeth Trigwell, reserve the right to cancel a client/wedding day booking following a trial. In the very unlikely event of circumstances such as non-agreement, inappropriate communication, unachievable expectations, uncooperativeness, or a result in myself feeling severely uncomfortable. The client will be notified within 48 hours by telephone and e-mail. This has never happened to me and it is highly unlikely.
3. PEAK TIME MINIMUM BOOKING TERMS
During April – September weekends, there is a minimum-booking fee of £250. This is not including the trial cost or travel expenses.
4. TRAVEL COSTS
UK travel expenses for trials and wedding days, outside a 10-mile radius of postcode BA11 5DZ, will be £0.50p per mile.
If I travel over an hour to your location, an hourly travelling rate of £20 per hour may apply.
PARKING – Please inform me if I am able to park and where. My kit doesn’t travel light, so I need to be prepared for all situations. Any parking charges will be added to your final bill.
5. CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS
Any change or cancellation will be accepted by the person named on the booking only.
Additional services can be booked depending on time scales.
In the unfortunate event you have to cancel the whole booking the following cancellation charges apply:
6 months or less till the date = non-refundable booking fee only
5 months or less till the wedding date = 30% of the final bill & non-refundable booking fee
4 months or less till the wedding date = 40% of the final bill & non-refundable booking fee
3 months or less till the date = 50% of the final bill & non-refundable booking fee
2 months or less till the date = 60% of the final bill & non-refundable booking fee
1 month or less till the date = Full payment & non-refundable booking fee
Refunds will ONLY be made to the account they came from.
A 50% charge of the individuals total on the booking will apply within 4 months or less from the wedding date. (i.e. a £50 bridesmaid will be charged at £25)
In the unfortunate event that your wedding has to be postponed due to the coronavirus, the booking fee will be transferable to a new date and not charged for again. If I cannot accommodate your new date, due to being booked already, the booking fee will be non refundable.
I must be made aware, before attending a trial or wedding day, if a member of your household or someone you have been in contact with, has symptoms, thinks they might have OR has had the virus and when. I am following the current guidance as it gets updated and I will tell you what myself and you, need to do before my attendance. Please cooperate with me kindly, as whatever I do will be in the best interest of all involved. I reserve the right at my discretion to cancel any appointment or booking without notice in these circumstances, without any penalty or charges towards myself, to stop cross-infection and to prevent the spread of the virus.
6. UNFORESEEN CONDITIONS & TIMINGS
It is the responsibility of the person named on the booking, to ensure that all members of the bridal party are available at their prearranged times. No refund or compensation will be given for delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, photographers or members of the bridal party, for whatever reason. If the timings are not adhered to for each person, it could jeopardise the styles achievable for any bridal party member. The bridal hair and/or makeup is my priority of course to ensure the bride is ready on time.
In the unfortunate event of severe weather conditions, traffic or accidents, compensation will not be offered if the booking cannot be stuck to due to these circumstances. Rest assured, to this day that has never happened, and I always arrive early and come well prepared with plenty of time as arranged in the booking process. There are two exclusions where monies, excluding trials and deposit, are refunded. These are if weather conditions reach critical and high-risk warnings and it has been released to the public by local authority to advise us not to go out. I reserve the right to cancel for safety. Also, in the highly unlikely and unfortunate event, I am not able to attend due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, (again not happened to date). I will help find a reputable replacement for services so you are covered but, the new booking with the replacement service is your responsibility and no funds from my services can be transferred. In this instance all funds apart from the booking fee, will be refunded. In the event that I am ill and cannot attend the booking fee will also be refunded.
IT IS STRONGLY ADVISED TO TAKE OUT WEDDING INSURANCE TO PROTECT YOU AGAINST ANY UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
7. BOOKING CONDITIONS & INFORMATION
Please inform us PRIOR to my attendance of any allergies you, or anyone having a service with me has, before any service commences. I will not be held responsible for any claims, losses or health problems due to lack of information.
Please ensure that the venue I will be working in has lighting, accessible electrical sockets, enough space to work in, a table for my equipment, toilet facilities and hand washing access.
Please ensure anyone who smokes goes outside to smoke for the duration of my visit. This is to ensure my equipment stays smoke free.
If any payment is not received by a speciﬁed due date, I reserve the right to cancel the booking with no further services to be carried forward.
Please make sure all hair is bone dry unless having a blow dry service. This applies to all bridal party members.
Fees and charges are at my discretion and are made by myself.
As most of my brides book me through seeing photos of my work, I love to include every wedding in my portfolio. ALL pictures taken can be sent to you for your memories. No pictures will be used on social media for advertising until your trial and wedding/event has taken place. I reserve the right to use any photos I take for professional advertising for the sole purposes of my business alone including social media and my website. I would appreciate it if I could have some professional photos from your photographer to use on my social media.
Thank you for reading all the way through my terms and conditions. It does sound formal, but they are there to protect both parties in the booking.
